Smooth (sewing) operator – Lemon & Rosemary hand scrub

My hands get so dry in the winter, and that does not feel good when I’m sewing.  So I use this very simple and quick hand scrub to keep them looking and feeling good.  It smells great too.

It’s very quick because I use a food processor, though you could mix the ingredients in a bowl.

You will need:
160g granulated sugar
120g solid coconut oil
Zest of 1 lemon
2 – 3 sprigs of rosemary

First, strip the rosemary leaves from their stalks and chop in the food processor.  You may need to add a spoonful of the sugar to help the chopping as the rosemary is so small.

Add the rest of the ingredients and process until it looks like fluffy wet sand.  Don’t overdo it – you want the sugar to stay granular.  It will only take a few bursts of mixing.

Store in a jar, and keep in the fridge if it’s warm outside.

Use (without water) on your hands, wringing and rubbing them together.

Rinse off, and you’re done!
