Spring Sewing Swap

I was delighted to be able to take part in Kerry of Kestrel Makes  Spring Sewing Swap this year.  Last year I was a newbie to sewing blogs, so watched with envy and delight at everything that went on!

And then, I was paired with Handmade Jane, whose blog was one of the first I started following!  I had great fun choosing things for Jane – I really admire her style.

Jane sent me some beautiful things.  I’ve been complaining about having too many navy clothes, and she sent me some lovely fabrics that compliment and brighten the navy.

First, lime green jersey – looks great with my navy polka dot Simplicity 2451 skirt.  And polka dot cotton in turquoise  – brightens up my denim Bella skirt.  I can see both of these being worn a lot.

There’s more.  New Look pattern 6808, which has been on my wish list for ages – Jane is a mindreader.  Teal buttons, a gorgeous felt flower brooch and a Handmade Jane card.

Thank you Jane, for such a wonderful parcel, and Kerry for organising the swap.  You can see what I bought for Jane here.

I’ve got a big craft fair coming up so sewing clothes in on hold for now – will be back in July with some of these fabrics made up!

Such a wonderful group! I watch everything I can, but unfortunately, I don’t think I will be in any of your class. take care now..
