First vintage pattern – summer pyjamas part 1

I pounced on this pattern in one of my local antique shops last week.  I’ve been looking for a camisole/slip pattern – this was in my size and only £1!

The construction was a bit of a challenge.  The ‘wing’ at the top curves round under the bust – but once I’d got my head round that it went together quite easily.  It was a great introduction to using a vintage pattern (although I can remember the seventies – does it still count?!).

Both fabrics are from vintage fairs, but bought at different times so I’m delighted with the way they go together.  The paisley was a curtain, from France.

Next stop, pyjama shorts!
